Humana has been selected by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services to serve members statewide in HealthChoice Illinois, the state's Medicaid managed care program. The contract will allow Humana to extend its services across all 102 counties, building on more than a decade of experience caring for dual eligible members in Illinois. The HealthChoice plan is expected to go live in January 2027. Humana has also announced partnerships addressing maternal health, behavioral health, and supportive housing to support the health-related social needs of Medicaid members.
