Hyundai Motor America achieved its best-ever June total sales of 77,555 units, an 11% increase year-over-year, contributing to record second-quarter and first-half performances. Total sales for the second quarter rose 4% to 245,180 units, while first-half sales reached an all-time high of 450,568 units, up 3% from the same period in 2025. Hybrid vehicle sales surged 74% in June, 71% in the second quarter, and 67% year-to-date, driven by strong demand for models including the Tucson HEV, Santa Fe HEV, Elantra HEV, and Sonata HEV. Electrified vehicles accounted for 33% of total sales in the first half, with the IONIQ 5 posting a 9% increase year-to-date. The company also announced several corporate activities, including the appointment of Steven Yandura as vice president of U.S. national sales and multiple marketing initiatives tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026.
