Space Exploration Technologies Corp. Class A Common StockLock-up expirations will increase share supply, likely pressuring the stock price.

Space Exploration Technologies, or SpaceX, made only about 4% of its total shares available to the public during its record $75 billion initial public offering. The first lock-up period, when insiders can sell some of their shares, has not yet arrived, with the initial release of 20% to 30% of shares expected around late July or early August 2026. A second block of 7% of shares is set to be released at the 90-day mark on September 9, 2026, after which the market's reaction to the increased supply will become clearer. History suggests there is a good chance SpaceX will underperform in the first few years after its IPO, so even after 90 days, rushing to invest may not be wise unless the stock trades at a much steeper discount.
