Intercontinental Exchange IncICE is launching new GPU compute futures contracts, expanding its product offerings and attracting new customers.

Intercontinental Exchange and NATIVX announced plans to launch GPU compute futures contracts based on NATIVX's COIL Index, which tracks tokenized, energy-normalized compute and connectivity prices. The U.S. dollar-denominated, cash-settled contracts are expected to launch later this year pending regulatory approval. The COIL Index normalizes compute prices to a consistent energy unit, removing regional power cost disparities and providing a clearer basis for price comparison. Listing these contracts alongside ICE's existing power and natural gas futures creates an integrated hedging environment where compute operators can manage GPU exposure and energy costs in one venue.
