Record full-year profit across all metrics, but Q1 operating profit fell 25.4% on higher raw material and material costs and depreciation.
In its full-year results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, announced on May 12, Imuraya Group achieved record highs in all four metrics: net sales of 53.723 billion yen, operating profit of 3.2 billion yen, ordinary profit of 3.533 billion yen, and net profit of 2.389 billion yen. In its first-quarter results for the fiscal year ending March 2027, announced on August 7, net sales held up at 11.569 billion yen, but operating profit fell 25.4% year on year to 257 million yen due to higher raw material prices, material costs, and depreciation. By segment, the distribution business posted net sales of 48.881 billion yen, accounting for 91.0% of the total, and generated segment profit of 4.417 billion yen, while its flagship Azuki Bar series recorded its highest-ever sales volume of 335 million units. Meanwhile, the seasoning business posted an operating margin of 14.4%, above the distribution business's 9.0%, creating a division of roles in which distribution provides scale and seasoning provides efficiency. Note that the September 30 record date entitles shareholders only to shareholder benefits worth between 750 yen and 3,500 yen, and since dividends are paid once a year with a March 31 record date, there is no interim dividend.
Record full-year profit across all metrics, but Q1 operating profit fell 25.4% on higher raw material and material costs and depreciation.
