InCoax Networks has announced the initial activation of a planned multi-building deployment for Sjoberg's Inc., a family-owned cable operator based in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, using Nokia Gigabit Connect with MoCA Access technology. The rollout is expected to cover approximately 30 to 40 buildings across Sjoberg's network, delivering fiber-based multi-gigabit broadband over existing coaxial infrastructure in apartment buildings. InCoax CEO Jakob Tobieson called the activation a milestone, marking the first live installations from the company's collaboration with Nokia and the transition from product integration to live deployment in a U.S. operator network. The solution supports integrated provisioning and lifecycle management through Nokia Altiplano Access Controller, and Sjoberg has integrated the Nokia DPU and InCoax MoCA technology into its TruVizion broadband diagnostics platform. This deployment represents a Fiber Access Extension use case, extending fiber-based services from the building access point to individual subscribers.
