Internet Thailand Public Company Limited, or INET, a Thai provider of cloud and digital platform services, has announced its commitment to advancing the country's digital sovereignty under the concept of "Humble & Harmony." The company operates three data centers: INET-IDC1 with a capacity of 0.7 megawatts, INET-IDC2 with 1.2 megawatts, and INET-IDC3 with 3-4 megawatts per phase, located in Saraburi Province on a site spanning over 400 rai. These facilities support a total of over 100,000 VMIs. All three centers are designed to Uptime Tier III standards and have received ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, ISO/IEC 27701, and ISO/IEC 27017 certifications. They are equipped with a self-developed DCIM system for efficient resource management. In terms of energy, INET utilizes power from solar farms and is preparing to develop a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The buildings are designed with passive design principles and use air-based cooling with a Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) of zero, avoiding the use of tap water or groundwater for cooling. Furthermore, INET is preparing to expand to a fourth data center (INET-IDC4) in Khon Kaen Province, with a power capacity of 4 megawatts per phase, up to a maximum of 20 megawatts for the entire project. The company also plans to establish Innovation Hubs in Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Songkhla, and Nakhon Ratchasima to create high-skilled jobs and employ 100% Thai workers, totaling over 3,000 people. This underscores INET's commitment to reducing reliance on foreign technology and enhancing the country's data security.
