Insulet has launched its Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System in Spain. The tubeless system is indicated for people aged two years and older with type 1 diabetes and works with Abbott FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus and Dexcom G7 sensors. Spain is the 26th country where Insulet sells Omnipod products and the 20th market for Omnipod 5, part of a rapid international expansion that has seen launches in 15 countries over the past 18 months. The company also introduced Omnipod Discover, a web-based data platform for users and providers, which first launched in five Middle Eastern countries earlier this year. Spain has over 4.6 million adults with diabetes, including about 189,000 with type 1 diabetes and more than 18,500 children and adolescents requiring insulin.
