It has emerged that US semiconductor giant Intel will make its Atom Technology processor technology available to startup Rozayk Labs. In an unusual move for Intel, Atom Technology is a fundamental building block of CPUs that run on the company's x86 architecture, designed for low power consumption and low heat output. According to sources familiar with the matter, Intel plans to provide Rozayk with the register-transfer level code for Atom Technology. Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan and Rozayk CEO Amarjeet Gill have a long-standing relationship as co-investors, and Rozayk's founding team includes Amit Parikh, former CFO of Rivoz, where Tan served as chairman.
