The Iranian embassy in Kenya has accused the United States and Israel of orchestrating a mass migration of people from Morocco into Ceuta, a Spanish territory in North Africa, with the aim of pressuring and punishing the Spanish government for its opposing stance on the Gaza war and attacks on Iran. Around 50,000 to 60,000 migrants, accounting for roughly 70 percent of Ceuta's total population, crossed the border by land and sea in recent days, resulting in at least 86 deaths, with local authorities admitting they are unable to cope. The Iranian embassy stated that this was an operation coordinated by the US and Israel with officials from neighboring countries to destabilize Spain, calling the event a gift for the far right in Europe and a punishment for a country that dares to challenge the American empire. Meanwhile, Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, criticized Spain's handling of the situation on the X platform, while Óscar Puente, Spain's transport minister, responded by hinting that everything is becoming clearer. Spain and Israel have been in sharp conflict over Spain's recognition of the State of Palestine, accusations of genocide against Israel, the recall of ambassadors, and the closure of airspace to US aircraft involved in attacks on Iran.
