JB Global Capital disclosed its investment in PayPal Holdings in its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, noting that the position was initiated at $39.84 per share in February. The firm cited a subsequent buyout offer from Stripe and Advent International at $60.50 per share, a roughly 52% premium, as well as second-quarter results that showed branded checkout stabilizing at 2% growth, Venmo delivering its seventh straight quarter of double-digit growth at 14%, and Braintree accelerating to 13% growth. Management also raised full-year guidance for transaction margin dollars and earnings per share, while trailing twelve-month buybacks reached $6 billion. The fund declined 12.1% in the second quarter, largely driven by its largest holding Alibaba, but has returned 109.7% since its January 2023 inception, compared with 94.4% for the S&P 500.
