NVIDIA CorporationStrong earnings beat, raised guidance, and CEO comments on upgradable software.

Jim Cramer explained what turned the tide for NVIDIA Corporation's stock after its fiscal Q2 earnings report, which initially saw a mixed reaction. The shares surged in premarket trading but closed 4.6% lower on Friday. Cramer noted that CEO Jensen Huang told him the firm's chips have upgradable software, and during a conference call, CFO Colette Kress guided 70% growth for the full fiscal year, ahead of analyst estimates. NVIDIA reported $96 billion in revenue and $2.46 in earnings per share, beating estimates, with data center revenue up 117% annually to $89 billion and its AI Clouds, Industrial and Enterprise segment growing 138% to $40.3 billion. However, free cash flow dropped to $21.3 billion from $48.6 billion a year ago, and the free cash flow margin fell to 22%, while potential headwinds include custom AI chips and higher memory costs.
