J&J won a jury verdict in a talc-cancer lawsuit, reducing legal risk.

A Los Angeles jury found Johnson & Johnson was not negligent in a lawsuit alleging its talc products led to ovarian cancer in three women. The lawsuit was filed by the families of three women who died after using the company’s talc-based baby powder. Over 67,000 plaintiffs have filed similar lawsuits. Johnson & Johnson stopped selling talc-based baby powder in the US in 2020 and switched to a cornstarch product.
