JPMorgan Chase is teaming up with Qatar National Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank to arrange about $7 billion of debt financing for a Qatari firm's projects in Syria, according to a Bloomberg report. The five-year loan will help finance the reconstruction of power infrastructure and an airport, and will be guaranteed by QNB, whose largest shareholder is the Qatar Investment Authority. The projects are being worked on by a consortium that includes Power International Holding, one of Doha's largest conglomerates. The financing represents one of the biggest foreign commitments to Syria's reconstruction.
