Kansai Electric Power raises corporate electricity rates by 10-15%, boosting revenue.
Kansai Electric Power announced on the 19th that it will raise electricity rates for corporate customers starting in November. The increase, driven by soaring repair costs for power generation facilities amid rising prices, will be around 10 to 15 percent under the standard model. This marks the first increase in corporate electricity unit prices in 11 and a half years, since April 2015. The new rates will apply to new contracts signed on or after November 1, covering commercial use at supermarkets and other commercial facilities, as well as industrial use at factories.
