The market drew support from energy, petrochemical, and refinery stocks, which rose in line with WTI futures, up 1.7 percent this morning to 83.5 dollars per barrel amid supply concerns from escalating conflicts between the United States and Iran, and Russia and Ukraine. Meanwhile, selling in DELTA, which fell 1.67 percent, dragged the index down by 4.9 points. Overall, funds rotated out of technology stocks into dividend and defensive plays to reduce risk. Most Asian equity markets advanced this morning, led by the Shanghai Composite up 0.8 percent and the Hang Seng Index up 2.1 percent, after news that a Chinese AI startup launched the Kimi K3 model, an open-source large language model with 2.8 trillion parameters that outperforms GPT-5.5 and Claude Opus 4.8 from the United States, boosting other Chinese tech names such as SMIC up 3.4 percent and Hua Hong Semiconductor up 3.7 percent. South Korea's Kospi tumbled 4.4 percent on selling in Samsung Electronics down 4.9 percent and SK Hynix down 3.7 percent, as investors fretted over chip demand and forced selling from leveraged ETFs. On the economic front, the People's Bank of China kept the one-year and five-year loan prime rates unchanged at 3.0 percent and 3.5 percent, respectively. For technical picks, Kingsford recommends speculative buying in SSP with support at 4.16 baht, profit-taking resistance at 4.34 to 4.50 baht, and a stop-loss at 4.12 baht, along with OR, which has support at 12.80 baht, profit-taking resistance at 13.70 to 14.10 baht, and a stop-loss at 12.60 baht.
