Krung Thai Bank (KTB) reported a net profit of 12.1 billion baht for the second quarter of 2026, up 9% year-on-year. Despite a 13.5% decline in net interest income, the bank was supported by a 10.3% increase in fee income and cost control, bringing the cost-to-income ratio down to 38.9%. Total loans grew 3.6% since the start of the year, exceeding the 0-2% target, led by government and state enterprise loans. Analysts have revised up their full-year net profit forecast to 47.7 billion baht, down 1% from the previous year, and maintain a Buy rating with a target price of 50 baht. They expect the bank to sustain a high dividend yield of around 6% and see potential for special dividends if additional capital is not needed.
