Lakeland Industries IncUL certification to produce turnout gear in Mexico reduces lead times, improves supply chain flexibility, and expands capacity.

Lakeland Fire + Safety has received UL certification to manufacture Veridian Vanguard structural firefighting turnout gear at its Mexico facility, advancing a strategy to serve Latin American customers with locally produced gear. The certification is expected to reduce lead times, improve supply chain flexibility and customer service, and deliver meaningful improvements in manufacturing margins. President and CEO Jim Jenkins said the move strengthens the economics of the Fire business by enabling a more efficient manufacturing footprint for Latin America while expanding capacity in US operations to support growth in the US and Canada. Vanguard is one of Veridian's flagship turnout gear platforms, designed to meet NFPA standards with high customizability for firefighters.
