Planet Fitness IncClass action lawsuit alleging false statements about marketing metrics, plus guidance cut and stock drop.

Levi & Korsinsky, LLP has filed a class action lawsuit against Planet Fitness, Inc. on behalf of investors who purchased common stock between November 6, 2025, and May 6, 2026. The complaint alleges that the company made materially false and misleading statements about its customer acquisition and marketing metrics, concealing that its updated marketing messaging was failing to resonate with and actively intimidating its core demographic of fitness beginners and casual gym-goers. On May 7, 2026, Planet Fitness reported slower-than-expected first-quarter sign-ups, slashed full-year 2026 same-store growth guidance from 4-5% to 1%, and withdrew its long-term three-year growth algorithm, causing the stock to drop from $63.96 to $44.01 per share, a decline of about 31.19% in a single day. Investors have until September 14, 2026, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in the case, Norie Matsunaga v. Planet Fitness, Inc., et al., filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
