LG Display announced that its entire lineup of large-sized OLED panels has become the first in the world to receive Perfect Color/Brightness Accuracy up to 500 lux certification from Intertek. The certification quantitatively validates that the panels simultaneously achieve 100% color accuracy, 100% brightness accuracy, and color crosstalk-free performance, accurately reproducing the creator's intended color and brightness regardless of viewing conditions or content. In contrast, LCD displays showed limitations such as diminished brightness in highlighted areas and color distortion due to their backlight-based structure. LG Display's OLED panels use self-emissive pixel dimming technology that eliminates light leakage and interference, enabling precise reproduction of both bright and dark elements. Hyeon-woo Lee, Head of the Large Display Business Unit, stated that the certification objectively proves OLED delivers the most accurate color and brightness in everyday viewing environments.
