LG Display Co. Ltd.Reported Q2 2026 operating loss due to KRW240 billion one-off restructuring costs, and net loss widened to KRW418.8 billion.

LG Display reported a second-quarter 2026 operating loss after booking KRW240 billion in one-off costs from a voluntary retirement program, even as revenue edged up to KRW5.612 trillion. Excluding the restructuring charge, the company said it achieved an operating profit, breaking a streak of chronic second-quarter losses over the past four years. Net loss widened to KRW418.8 billion, partly due to foreign exchange translation losses, while the OLED revenue share rose slightly year-over-year to 57%. Area shipments increased 12% quarter-over-quarter to 3.6 million square meters, but the average price per square meter fell 13% to $1,079 amid a seasonal decline in mobile product shipments. Looking ahead, management flagged a challenging second half because of rising material costs and demand uncertainty, but maintained its full-year outlook supported by technology leadership and cost innovation.
