Lumentum Holdings IncRecord component revenue driven by hyperscale AI data center demand, with raised guidance.
Lumentum's Components segment posted record revenue of $533.3 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2026, accounting for 66% of total revenues and climbing 77.3% year over year. The surge was fueled by record shipments of electro-absorption modulated laser chips, more than 120% growth in narrow-linewidth laser assemblies, and 80% growth in pump lasers, driven by hyperscale AI data center demand. Management noted several high-growth component categories remain effectively sold out and its Japan wafer fabrication capacity is fully allocated. The company raised its fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to between $960 million and $1.01 billion, signaling continued momentum. Lumentum faces competition from Coherent and Applied Optoelectronics, which are also scaling 800G and 1.6T transceivers and co-packaged optics.
