Baxter International IncBaxter's subsidiary Synovis MCA gains exclusive distribution rights to SHIYA platform, potentially expanding its product portfolio and revenue.

MediThinQ has entered into an exclusive multi-year global distribution agreement with Synovis Micro Companies Alliance, a subsidiary of Baxter International, to commercialize its SHIYA 3D surgical visualization platform. The partnership will enable a phased global rollout of SHIYA, leveraging Synovis MCA's three-decade expertise in microsurgery and its relationships with leading hospitals and reconstructive surgeons. SHIYA combines a high-resolution digital exoscope with up to 20x magnification and the proprietary wearable display SCOPEYE, allowing surgeons to operate without traditional eyepieces and supporting data capture for AI and analytics. The platform has been used in more than 100 procedures globally and is backed by peer-reviewed research, including a 2025 review in JPRAS Open and a 2026 paper in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery highlighting its ergonomic and portability advantages. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
