Meta Platforms Inc.Meta launches Muse Code, an AI coding assistant powered by Muse Spark 1.2, entering the AI coding tools market.

Meta Platforms has launched Muse Code, a coding assistant tool powered by the latest AI model Muse Spark 1.2, designed to help developers write code and detect software bugs. This launch underscores the social media giant's aggressive push into the AI coding tools market to compete with Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's Codex. Muse Code can write code and verify results natively, supports long and complex projects, and runs multiple sub-agents simultaneously to accelerate solving difficult problems. Meta trained the Muse Spark 1.2 model and Muse Code together from the start for seamless coordination, and it is available for trial in a beta version. It features a continuous work history log, allowing users to resume work immediately from where they left off if the system freezes or crashes. Developers can access it through a pay-as-you-go plan, with the standard package charging one dollar twenty-five cents per one million input tokens and four dollars twenty-five cents per one million output tokens.
