Meta Platforms has secured new agreements to get AI computing power from data center developer Crusoe, Bloomberg reported. Meta is under contract to buy computing capacity from Crusoe at two data centers located in Childress, Texas, and Warrenton, Missouri, with roughly 1.6 gigawatts of capacity combined across the two sites. The news comes as tech companies expand infrastructure to support surging AI demand, and Meta is building its Hyperion data center in Louisiana designed to provide 2 gigawatts of capacity with potential to scale to 5 gigawatts. Meta has confirmed $600 billion in capital expenditures through 2028 for AI-related infrastructure in the U.S.
