Micron Technology IncRaises FY26 CapEx to ~$27B, plans share repurchases, and discloses $22B in customer commitments with $18B cash deposits.

Micron Technology now expects the high-bandwidth memory total addressable market to easily cross $100 billion in 2027, a year earlier than its prior forecast, and is raising its fiscal 2026 capital expenditure to around $27 billion. Executive Vice President and CFO Mark Murphy said market tightness is expected to continue beyond 2027, while Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer Sumit Sadana noted that demand continues to be well above supply for both HBM and non-HBM DRAM. The company also disclosed that its 16 strategic customer agreements, which are take-or-pay and cannot be canceled, aggregate to over $22 billion in commitments, with nearly $18 billion in cash deposits. Murphy added that Micron intends to increase capital returns starting December 9, with share repurchases as the principal method, and flagged that greenfield start-up costs will rise to $100 million to $200 million per quarter in fiscal 2027.
