Micron Technology IncMicron expects ~$22B in customer deposits/financial commitments and reported Q3 revenue jumping to $41.46B with EPS of $25.11.
Micron Technology has signed 16 Strategic Customer Agreements covering customers across data centers, consumer markets and automotive, with most running five years through 2030 and automotive deals generally running three years. Together the contracts represent about 20% of Micron's DRAM volume and one-third of its NAND volume, and the company said during its third-quarter fiscal 2026 results that the SCAs signed so far represent about $100 billion of remaining performance obligations based on minimum committed volumes and pricing. Micron also expects to receive about $22 billion in customer deposits and related financial commitments, with roughly $18 billion expected as cash deposits. The agreements are structured as take-or-pay contracts, with many including fixed prices or price floors and ceilings, which Micron says can protect it from severe pricing declines during weaker memory cycles. In that third quarter, Micron's revenues jumped to $41.46 billion from $9.30 billion a year earlier, while non-GAAP earnings surged to $25.11 per share from $1.91. Rivals are pursuing similar strategies: SK hynix has finalized long-term agreements with around 10 customers, and Sandisk has signed eight New Business Model agreements covering about 50% of its bits in fiscal 2027 and roughly two-thirds in fiscal 2028.
