Micron Technology IncMicron plans to ramp high-bandwidth memory output to 100,000 wafers/month by end-2026, expanding capacity amid demand outstripping supply.

Micron Technology plans to significantly increase production of high-bandwidth memory, aiming to reach 100,000 wafers per month by the end of 2026, up from the roughly 40,000 to 50,000 wafers per month it has averaged over the past year. The memory maker's stock has risen more than 240% this year and its market cap has topped $1 trillion, helped by gross margins that have climbed from around 40% to more than 70% as demand for memory and storage products outstrips supply. Micron is scheduled to report fourth-quarter results on Sept. 30, a fiscal year-end report expected to include guidance for the year ahead that should factor in its high-bandwidth memory outlook. The company's production ramp is expected to support that guidance and could lift the stock to new heights before the end of 2026.
