CommVault Systems IncMicrosoft makes Commvault a native Azure service, expanding access to Microsoft's enterprise customer base.
Commvault Systems has signed a multiyear strategic agreement with Microsoft that will offer Commvault's AI and cyber-resilience technologies as a native independent software vendor service directly on Microsoft Azure. The deal enables Azure customers to integrate Commvault's data recovery, application restoration, and identity-resilience capabilities without complex third-party integrations, effectively making the platform plug-and-play for Microsoft's vast enterprise customer base. Commvault recently reported fourth-quarter revenue of $312 million, beating analyst estimates of $306.5 million, with adjusted EPS of $1.28 versus the $1.09 estimate. Total annual recurring revenue grew 21% year-over-year to $1.12 billion, while SaaS revenue increased 43% to $93 million. The stock has rebounded 71% in the past three months amid the Microsoft partnership and takeover interest from private equity firm Thoma Bravo, which is exploring options with Goldman Sachs.
