Microsoft has introduced its first cybersecurity-focused AI model, MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, alongside an AI-powered security platform called Project Perception, aiming to help organizations detect and respond to cyber threats more quickly. CEO Satya Nadella stated that the model, combined with MDASH, delivers world-class performance at 50 percent of the cost of leading models. The move comes as the global AI cybersecurity market is valued at $44.2 billion and could exceed $200 billion over the next decade, with Gartner projecting total cybersecurity spending of $240 billion in 2026. Microsoft recently reported fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of $90 billion, up 18 percent year-over-year, and net income of $35.8 billion.
