Microsoft announced a sweeping slate of AI initiatives at its Build developer conference in San Francisco, aiming to remake computing around artificial intelligence. The company showcased Nvidia-powered PCs, a new in-house reasoning model, autonomous workplace assistants, and a prototype family called Project Solara that includes devices the size of a smart speaker or keycard badge based on chips from Qualcomm and MediaTek. CEO Satya Nadella also introduced the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, a computer loaded with an Nvidia chip that he called a dream machine and said he was on the wait list to buy. Separately, Truist raised its price target on Microsoft stock to $675 while reiterating a Buy rating.
