Applied Digital CorporationApplied Digital signs electric service agreement for its proposed AI factory, indicating progress and demand for its data center services.
Montana-Dakota Utilities has entered into an electric service agreement with Applied Digital to provide power to Polaris Forge 3, a proposed AI factory near Center, North Dakota. At full capacity, the campus would require 430 megawatts of electricity, with Applied Digital responsible for purchasing energy directly from the market or through other power supply arrangements. Initial operations are anticipated to commence in August 2027. The project is expected to create approximately 200 full-time jobs and generate meaningful property tax revenue in Oliver County and the surrounding region. Approval of the agreement by the North Dakota Public Service Commission is required before power can be provided.
