Motive raised over $1.3B in growth financing from General Catalyst and withdrew its S-1, keeping a public listing as a later path.
Motive announced Thursday it secured more than $1.3 billion in growth financing from General Catalyst and withdrew its previously filed S-1. The San Francisco-based company reported its annual recurring revenue crossed $600 million in its strongest quarter, with ARR growth accelerating to 30% year over year, while ARR from customers spending more than $100,000 grew nearly 60% year over year and net revenue retention for those customers was above 120%. Pranav Singhvi, a managing director at General Catalyst, joined Motive's board. Motive said the capital will fuel AI investment across the platform and grow its sales, support, and service teams, and that the financing allowed it to pull the S-1 and keep a public listing as a later path. Motive serves nearly 100,000 customers across trucking, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing, agriculture, and related industries, and already counts more than a million commercial vehicles on its platform.
