The Boeing CompanyMSC Air Cargo orders five 777-8 freighters, adding to Boeing's order book.

MSC Air Cargo, the cargo airline subsidiary of Mediterranean Shipping Co., has ordered five next-generation 777-8 freighter aircraft from Boeing. The order was announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, where Embraer also secured a firm order for 20 passenger-to-freighter conversions of its E190 regional jet from lessor Azorra. MSC Air Cargo CEO Jannie Davel said the 777-8 Freighter provides the efficiency, range and capacity needed for the next stage of growth. Boeing has booked more than 80 orders for the 777-8 Freighter, with deliveries expected to begin in 2028. The Embraer deal marks Azorra's entry into the freighter leasing market, with plans to market the converted aircraft in Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
