Multiverse Computing has released Pulsar 16B, a 16.15-billion-parameter open reasoning model built on NVIDIA Nemotron architecture. Developed using Multiverse Computing’s proprietary technology and leveraging NVIDIA Model Optimizer and Megatron Bridge libraries, the model delivers reasoning performance comparable to leading 30-billion-parameter-class architectures at roughly half the parameter count. On the AIME 2025 benchmark, Pulsar 16B scores 87.22, within a tenth of a point of its uncompressed base model and 15 points ahead of gpt-oss-20B, while on GPQA-Diamond it matches the base model at 71.41 versus gpt-oss-20B’s 58.88. The model achieves a 43% increase in system throughput over the base model on an NVIDIA Blackwell GPU, with time-to-first-token dropping from 2.18 seconds to 1.24 seconds. Pulsar 16B is available on HuggingFace under the Apache 2.0 license.
