Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, said that the U.S. wealth gap with Europe will get "much bigger" due to AI and robots in America. His comment came in response to a video by TV presenter John Stossel, who noted that the U.S. is "50% richer" than Europe despite the latter having 100 million more citizens than the U.S. Musk's remarks follow a Financial Times report showing U.S. AI investments have risen three times faster than Europe's since 2021, though experts warn of a potential investment "bust" if adoption lags. Musk also highlighted massive AI and robotics investments, including the Starbase in Louisiana, which could make Optimus the first "Von Neumann" machine, and the Terafab facility in Texas, set to become the world's largest building, producing over 1 terawatt of AI compute hardware annually. He reiterated predictions that SpaceX revenue could reach $3.5 trillion by 2033, seven years earlier than Morgan Stanley's forecast.
