Nestlé (Thai) Co., Ltd. disclosed progress in its dispute arising from the termination of a joint venture agreement in Quality Coffee Products Co., Ltd., or QCP. An international arbitral tribunal issued its ruling on 20 December 2024, and the joint venture agreement ended on 31 December 2024. A petition was subsequently filed with the Singapore High Court on issues relating to the termination of the agreement, before the court issued its ruling on 4 March 2026, which Nestlé said was consistent with the arbitral tribunal's ruling. On the disputes in Thailand, the company said several cases have been filed following the end of the joint venture agreement, with the status and outcome of each case varying, and some key cases remain under consideration by the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court. Meanwhile, an interim injunction that had affected the management of QCP and the distribution of Nescafé products has been lifted, allowing Nescafé product distribution to return to normal. However, some related cases remain unresolved and must await rulings through the judicial process. Nestlé affirmed it will cooperate with the relevant authorities and continue to proceed in accordance with the law. At the same time, the company disclosed a planned investment in Thailand worth 23,000 million baht to build a new Nescafé production plant and a distribution centre, saying the project has already received investment promotion from the Board of Investment, or BOI. The new plant is located in the Araya Industrial Estate in Samut Prakan Province, is expected to begin operations in 2028, will create more than 520 jobs, and will use domestic raw materials in the production process.
