New China Life Insurance announced that the National Financial Regulatory Administration has approved Ms. Zhang Xiufen's qualification to serve as an independent director of the company, with her term starting from August 25, 2026 until the end of the ninth board of directors' term. Zhang Xiufen currently serves as co-convenor of the Asia-Pacific Structured Finance Association and adjunct professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She previously served as chief legal counsel and company secretary of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Medical Centre.
