The probability of missing a payment over the next three months fell to 10.81 percent, the lowest since March 2023, indicating healthy household finances. Household spending growth expanded to 5.01 percent from the previous month, suggesting consumption continues to support growth. Meanwhile, one-year inflation expectations rose to 3.67 percent, the highest since September 2023, but the five-year expectations closely watched by the Fed declined to 3.00 percent.
