Delayed earnings due to accounting and quality misconduct probes, raising governance concerns.
Nidec announced on the 5th that it will miss the Tokyo Stock Exchange deadline for disclosing its April–June 2026 quarter results. The delay stems from the time needed to investigate accounting irregularities and quality misconduct. Companies listed on the TSE are required to release their earnings within 45 days after the end of the quarter. Nidec has yet to disclose its fiscal year ended March 2026 results, but plans to file its annual securities report for that period by September 30. The April–June 2026 quarter results will be released as soon as work is completed after the annual securities report is submitted.
