Nokia CorporationNokia launched the industry's first AI-native RAN platform with Nvidia, enhancing its product portfolio and competitive position.
Nokia introduced what it described as the industry's first commercial artificial intelligence-native radio access network platform developed with Nvidia. The platform combines Nokia's AI-native anyRAN software with Nvidia's Aerial AI-RAN technology and is expected to more than double spectral efficiency by 2028, with demonstrations already showing more than 20% gains. Pilot deployments are planned for later this year, with commercial availability scheduled for 2027, using Nvidia's programmable merchant silicon platforms. The launch follows a strategic partnership established less than 10 months ago that included Nvidia taking an equity stake in Nokia.
