Jiangsu Pacific Quartz Co LtdAI drives glass fiber industry volume and price rise, benefiting quartz shares as a related material.

On July 31, the non-metallic materials concept surged 5.91% intraday. Lianrui New Materials rose 8.91%, Power Diamond gained 6.78%, Jinbo shares advanced 6.03%, Quartz shares climbed 5.39%, and Longgao shares added 2.27%. Yu Weining, chief statistician at the National Bureau of Statistics' industrial department, said that the rapid development of new growth drivers has led to significant profit growth in related industries. In the first half of the year, profits in the recycled rubber manufacturing sector within non-metallic materials jumped 133.3%, while profits in optical fiber manufacturing and chemical fiber manufacturing surged 410.4% and 102% respectively. A research report from SDIC Securities noted that AI is driving the electronic fabric market, with the glass fiber industry seeing both volume and price increases amid persistently tight supply and demand. Domestic demand for glass fiber roving is expected to reach 8.02 million tons in 2025, up 6.26% year-on-year, with incremental demand mainly from new energy, environmental protection, and electronics and electrical sectors. However, actual net new effective capacity that year is only 518,300 tons, and effective supply release may be delayed until 2027. A Changjiang Securities report pointed out that the tungsten industry continues to face a tight supply-demand balance, with tungsten prices expected to operate in a new normal range of 400,000 to 600,000 yuan per ton. Companies with leading manufacturing capabilities are likely to achieve volume and price growth in the deep processing segment.
