Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has completed a £1 million infrastructure modernisation project with Schneider Electric to standardise its uninterruptible power supply systems across multiple hospital and community sites. Working with EcoXpert partner RMD and XMA, the Trust deployed Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure platform and Smart-UPS solutions, achieving 100% uptime and full visibility of its UPS estate. The deployment includes EcoStruxure IT Expert for centralised monitoring across 175 nodes, enabling improved reporting, proactive maintenance, and energy and lifecycle benchmarking. The project also includes a five-year service and maintenance agreement, helping the Trust forecast and budget for future replacements and prepare for data centre consolidation. The Trust provides health and care services to more than 500,000 people across Northumberland and North Tyneside, covering around 2,500 square miles as the largest geographically in the UK.
