NOVAGOLD Resources filed its second quarter 2026 report, highlighting progress on the Donlin Gold project's bankable feasibility study update and a strong cash position of approximately $370.2 million as of May 31, 2026. The company reported a net loss of $25.5 million, or $0.06 per share, for the quarter, with operational cash expenditures of $22.7 million, of which $16.3 million funded its 60% share of Donlin Gold and $6.4 million covered corporate costs. Under Fluor's leadership, engineering integration of major work packages is advancing with specialist contractors WSP, Worley, and Hatch, targeting BFS completion in 2027. Donlin Gold, one of the world's largest undeveloped gold assets with approximately 40 million ounces of measured and indicated resources at a grade of 2.22 grams per tonne, is expected to produce over one million ounces annually over a 27-year mine life. The project's sole remaining state permit challenge saw oral arguments in the Alaska Supreme Court in June, with a decision pending.
