Nuscale Power CorpNuScale is highlighted as a potential nuclear energy provider for SpaceX's AI data centers, suggesting future demand for its SMRs.

SpaceX’s artificial intelligence division accounts for more than 90% of its claimed total addressable market, and powering the terrestrial data centers needed for that business remains a critical challenge. NuScale Power, a small modular reactor designer with a market cap of $4 billion, could provide a solution with nuclear systems that can be deployed in two to three years from the start of construction. SpaceX has so far relied on grid power, solar, and Tesla Megapacks, but the company may eventually diversify into nuclear energy to support its supercomputer build-out. Analysts at Morningstar note that SpaceX is a capital-intensive business, and the company’s recent IPO raised more than $85 billion, with reports of a potential $20 billion bond sale this summer. If SpaceX moves toward nuclear, NuScale’s approved SMR designs and modules already under construction make it a potential acquisition target to accelerate energy sourcing.
