Nuscale Power CorpStock trades near SPAC debut price, analysts project revenue growth but unprofitable, insiders net sellers.
NuScale Power, a developer of small modular reactors, is trading around $11 per share, close to its $10.70 debut price after going public via a SPAC merger in May 2022. Analysts expect the company's revenue to grow from $31.5 million in 2025 to $310.7 million in 2028, driven mainly by front-end engineering and design studies, licensing deals, and consulting work. With a market capitalization of $3.4 billion, the stock trades at 11 times its projected 2028 sales, and it is expected to remain unprofitable for the foreseeable future. Former majority owner Fluor recently liquidated its remaining holdings, and insiders continue to be net sellers. NuScale is working with Fluor to build a 462 MWe plant in Romania and with the Tennessee Valley Authority to deploy up to six gigawatts of SMR capacity across seven states, though reactor activations are not expected until the early 2030s.
