NVIDIA CorporationCEO Jensen Huang is expected to attend the Trump-Xi state dinner, signaling improved US-China ties that could ease Nvidia's China chip access.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is reportedly expected to attend a state dinner President Donald Trump is hosting for Chinese President Xi Jinping when Xi travels to Washington on Sept. 24, according to CNBC, which cited a person familiar with the guest list. The White House told the publication that Trump invited several prominent U.S. business leaders to the dinner and that the president wants to prioritize deals that benefit the United States. Huang's attendance comes as AI and semiconductors remain central to the U.S.-China relationship, with Nvidia supplying chips widely used to develop and run AI systems. Huang has maintained close ties with Trump, traveling with him to China in May for Trump's first state visit there since 2017 and attending a dinner Xi hosted for Trump in China. In August, reports said limited shipments of Nvidia's powerful H200 AI chips had been approved for mainland China.
