NVIDIA CorporationAI data center demand from Anthropic and OpenAI (~$100B) drives Nvidia's revenue growth.

D.A. Davidson Head of Technology Research Gil Luria says Nvidia will report a very good quarter with revenues nearly doubling and earnings doubling, but the real question for investors is whether AI data center buildout in the United States will continue amid political backlash and uncertainty before the mid-terms. Luria notes that Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Nvidia have funded Anthropic and OpenAI, which together have about $100 billion of actual demand for AI tools, and that Anthropic's upcoming IPO will need to show a path to hundreds of billions or even a trillion dollars in revenue. He adds that Nvidia's investment in SpaceX, valued at about $21 billion, has paid off because Elon Musk buys exclusively from Nvidia, and that Nvidia's funding of Neo Cloud is a small part of revenue. Luria also warns that as a public company, Anthropic will face pressure to tone down rhetoric about AI risks and speak more like a business.
