NVIDIA Corporation has taken a minority stake in Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a developer that secures powered land and utility agreements for data-center projects, as part of its strategy to deepen its involvement in AI infrastructure. Cloverleaf has already facilitated more than 7 gigawatts of powered land sales and has a pipeline exceeding 10 gigawatts. The investment is aimed at addressing power availability, which has become a major constraint on AI data-center expansion, and follows NVIDIA's recent moves involving SB Energy and Lancium. NVIDIA is also working with major financial institutions to mobilize more than $500 billion of third-party capital for AI infrastructure, and has committed up to $105 billion in guarantees tied to an OpenAI data center in Ohio. While the Cloverleaf investment is relatively small, it is part of a broader pattern that could expose NVIDIA to additional financial and execution risks if AI spending slows.
