NVIDIA CorporationNvidia launches BioNeMo Agent Toolkit, expanding its biomedical AI software offerings.

Nvidia is moving further into the biomedical space with a new software tool called the BioNeMo Agent Toolkit, which equips AI agents to perform scientific work. The agent-agnostic toolkit works across various AI agents such as OpenAI's Codex and Anthropic's Claude, providing them with specialized medical knowledge to accelerate tasks like finding small-molecule drug candidates, genomic analysis, and medical imaging analysis. Kimberly Powell, vice president of healthcare at Nvidia, said the toolkit gives agents the understanding and know-how to perform specific research more efficiently, reducing token consumption and wait times. The software is part of Nvidia's broader open-source offerings under its Nemotron line of open-weight AI models.
